`Tamas Teerth Beach, Ladghar
The word Tamas is a derivative of Tambas, which means 'copper' and the word Teerth means holy water. The Reddish tinge of the sand also lends itself to the water, which also acquires a reddish hue. This long, winding seashore is dotted with several rocks. You can't tell how time flies by as you sit on these socks and watch the waves dance back and forth in perfect rhythm. Located also along the migration path, spot Dolphins jumping and dancing as you sail through.
Parshuram Bhumi
Perched atop a hill, Parshuram Bhumi is a spot which serves both as a vantage point to offer the best views of the city, red Tamas Teertha coast and more, as well as where many devout tourists come to pay their respects to Lord Parshuram. The site harbours a semi Globe structure spreading in a 20-foot radius, and on top of this is standing a staggering 21-foot-tall statue of Lord Parshuram.
The White Beach, Kolthare
The sparkling white sand is in striking contrast to the reddish sandy beach of Ladghar, which gives it a unique and adorable character. The village, and especially its houses, typify the true Konkani style with its sloping roofs and warm, welcoming looks.
Keshvraj Temple, Asud
With dense foliage of trees on all four sides of this temple precinct gives it an aura of blissful solitude. The idol of Sri Vishnu, glows in the dim light of a solitary pedestal lamp. One of the major highlights of this temple is the constantly flowing water from the mouth of a cow (gomukh) carved in stone.
